A quick decision
For a short permitted verification step, start with 10 minutes if you can finish promptly. For a download, trial confirmation or manual email test that may take longer, the free one-hour inbox gives more room. If messages are expected later, review the one-day or seven-day option before committing to a temporary address.
What the current options cost
The free choices are 10 minutes and one hour. A one-day plan costs US$1 and a seven-day plan costs US$2. The paid plan runs from confirmed payment; check the expiry shown in the inbox after checkout. Availability and the offered checkout methods are shown in the live workspace. Paying for retention does not guarantee acceptance by a website or delivery from a sender.
Switching free durations does not restart the clock
The free timer counts from creation. Changing a free inbox from one hour to ten minutes does not create a new ten-minute period at that moment; switching is refused if that initial period has already elapsed. Reloading the page, receiving mail and opening the same inbox on a phone also do not restart the timer. Choose the duration before requesting a message whenever possible.
A longer inbox does not renew a verification link
A sender controls how long its code or confirmation link remains valid. A message can remain visible while its link has already expired. When seven days is still the wrong choice
A temporary inbox is unsuitable when you need future account recovery, recurring invoices, important receipts or service notices. If a trial becomes an account you want to keep, switch its email to a durable address while you still have access. If you want to hide your regular address for an ongoing relationship, compare a forwarding alias and a temporary mailbox.
Before the inbox expires
Save needed messages as .eml or text and download supported attachments to a device you control. Keep the private inbox link only for yourself. A longer plan does not add sending or forwarding capabilities, recover a deleted inbox or eliminate the need for the access token. Start with the shortest duration that comfortably fits your task and use a lasting address for anything important.
