When 10 minutes is enough
Most verification codes and confirmation links arrive within a few seconds of the sender sending them. If all you need is one code to get past a sign-up form, a 10-minute inbox does the job and leaves less behind: the address, the messages and any attachments are removed as soon as the time is up.
If 10 minutes is not enough
Some senders are slow, and some sign-ups send a second message later. While your inbox is active you can switch it to 1 hour for free. The time is always counted from when the inbox was created, so switching back and forth does not add time. If you need longer still, you can keep the same address for 1 day for US$1 or 7 days for US$2.
Frequently asked questions
Does 10 minute mail cost anything?
No. The 10-minute inbox and the 1-hour inbox are both free, with no account and no card.
Can I shorten an inbox to 10 minutes later?
Yes, as long as the inbox is less than about 10 minutes old. After that the 10-minute option is turned off, because that time has already passed.
What happens when the 10 minutes end?
You can no longer open the inbox, and its address and messages are removed in the background. Save anything you need first, because an expired inbox cannot be restored.
