Open the same temporary email inbox on your phone
Updated 1 November 2026.
Use 1hemail’s Open on phone QR code or private inbox link to open the same active inbox on another device. The link grants access, so treat it like a password.
Move an active inbox to another device
Create an inbox on your first device, choose Open on phone and scan the QR code with your phone camera. Alternatively, copy the inbox link and open it on your own second device. Check that the email address and expiry match the original inbox. Visiting the ordinary homepage on a new device by itself does not identify your existing mailbox.
A shared inbox is not an extra hour
The QR code opens the same server inbox with the same remaining time. It does not create a copy, reset the countdown or extend retention. Messages received on that address belong to that one inbox. If it expires or is deleted, the sharing link cannot revive it on another device. Read the expiry and recovery explanation before relying on a link later.
Keep the private link private
The link contains the token needed to read messages. Do not post it in a public chat, issue tracker, screenshot or document. Anyone who has the link may read that inbox until access ends. If you accidentally share it, stop using that address for new information and remove the inbox when appropriate. Do not put verification codes or sensitive mail in a link you have already shared.
When scanning does not work
Check that the QR panel is fully visible, increase screen brightness and use your camera’s normal link-opening flow. You can use the copy-link option on a device you control instead of a third-party QR decoder. A camera permission refusal, a damaged screenshot or a truncated link can prevent scanning. Never paste a private inbox link into a public online QR inspection service.
Shared-device precautions
Browser storage may retain inbox access after a tab closes. On a borrowed device, delete the temporary inbox when your task is finished and consider any files you downloaded separately. Deleting the server inbox does not erase local downloads or copies already made by somebody else. For access details, read the privacy notice.
